Radio | J4, GMB & DJ Threesixty: Angel Wainaina R.I.P.

Vorige week kwam presentatrice Angel Wainaina van Ghetto Radio (Kenia) om het leven bij een brand in een supermarkt. Angel had een vaste rubriek in Lijn5 met J4, GMB & DJ Threesixty, waar ze elke donderdag het item 'Street Update' verzorgde. Ter nagedachtenis aan Angel is deze uitzending in zijn geheel opgedragen aan Angel. GMB en J4 draaien haar favoriete tracks zoals 'Miss Fat Booty' van Mos Def en songs die ze vanuit Kenia had gestuurd. In het derde uur dj G-Town, de beste Oost-Afrikaanse dj van het noordelijk halfrond met een mix van nieuwe tracks uit Tanzania en Kenia, waaronder een Sranang/Swahili collabo van Coup d'Villz en Professor Jay.

 

Maandag 9 februari zijn GMB, J4 en Threesixty live aanwezig voor radio-opnames bij het 'Kracht van Congo'-festival (de Balie, Amsterdam, toegang gratis). 's avonds om 22 uur treedt daar Baloji op, de Congolees-Belgische rapper bekend van Starflam. Met zijn band brengt hij tracks van 'Hotel Impala' en zijn tweede album dat dit jaar uitkomt.
